More than 60,000 medical and science professionals from around the globe are expected to attend the world’s largest medical meeting November 30-December 5, 2008, at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago. With more than 300 refresher courses and hundreds of scientific presentations, the RSNA annual meeting offers an unparalleled educational opportunity. In addition, more than 700 technical exhibitors will display state-of-the-art technology and the latest radiology products and services.

Conduct activities to meet the educational and continuing professional development needs of RSNA members.

Who Attends?
Registrants of the RSNA annual meeting represent many specialties and disciplines within radiology and the entire healthcare arena. RSNA is the largest medical meeting in the world, with more than 62,500 attendees in 2007. Last year, the scientific program and technical exhibition drew a record 27,593 healthcare professionals from more than 100 countries.

RSNA Membership
The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) comprises 41,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists and allied scientists. Membership in RSNA offers many rewards, including free subscriptions to the peer-reviewed journals Radiology and RadioGraphics. In addition, the admission fee to the RSNA annual meeting is waived for members who register in advance. The deadline is September 1 for receipt of membership application in order to attend the RSNA annual meeting as a member. Apply today.

Registration Change and Cancellation Policy:
Name changes are not allowed-new registration and payment are required.
All registration cancellations must be made in writing (e-mail, fax or mail) to Experient by November 7
A $50 administrative charge applies per registration form refunded.
Refund requests received after November 7 will not be accepted.
All onsite full conference registration rates will reflect a $100 increase over advance registration rates for most categories.

Educational Offerings
RSNA is dedicated to creating learning opportunities that meet the highest standards of excellence. Different types of educational offerings are available to meet your personal needs and accommodate your schedule during RSNA 2008. Click here to view the full course listing. Admission tickets are required for all multisession and refresher courses and can be obtained by registering at RSNA.org/register. The deadline to register for courses in advance is November 7, 2008.

Continuing Education Credits
RSNA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. RSNA designates this educational activity for a maximum of 87.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP) has approved the direct transfer of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ to MPCEC on a credit-for-credit basis for medical physicists. RSNA is an ARRT®-approved Recognized Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism Plus (RCEEM+) and will provide Category A+ continuing education credits for technologists and radiologist assistants.

Room Change and Cancellation Policy:
Name changes and/or swapping of room reservations is not allowed.
Prior to November 7, contact Experient for hotel changes or cancellations.
Hotel changes or cancellations after November 7 are subject to penalty.
Between November 7 and November 17, reservation information will be transferred to the hotels.
Beginning November 17, contact the hotel directly for housing changes or cancellations.
Early departure will result in a penalty.

Deposits:
A first and last night room deposit totaling $300 is required when a hotel is requested. If you plan to arrive after 6:00 p.m., contact the hotel for a late check-in.

Technical Exhibition
The RSNA 2007 technical exhibition occupied a record 535,300 square feet (49,749 square meters), featuring 757 leading manufacturers, suppliers and developers of medical technology. At RSNA 2008, the Technical Exhibition will be expanded to include Hall D (Lakeside Center) as well as Hall A (South Building) and Hall B (North Building). The new arrangement allows RSNA to accommodate the growing number of exhibiting companies while offering more space to current exhibitors. Child Care
RSNA partners with ACCENT on Children’s Arrangements, Inc., a national childcare company, to offer Camp RSNA—a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children. Choose from hourly, half-day or full-day rates. To uphold the professional and educational standards of the RSNA annual meeting, children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the exhibit hall or sessions.

Transportation

Certificate of Attendance
During the meeting, attendees can use computers in the Internet zones located throughout McCormick Place to print a personalized certificate of attendance. After the meeting attendees must contact reginfo@rsna.org.

Smoking Regulations
Effective January 1, 2008, the Smoke-free Illinois Act prohibits smoking in virtually all public places and workplaces, including offices, theaters, museums, libraries, educational institutions, schools, commercial establishments, enclosed shopping centers and retail stores, restaurants, bars, private clubs and gaming facilities.

Smoking may be permitted in some hotels that have set aside a percentage of smoking rooms. Due to various Chicago hotel smoking policies, a request for a smoking room is not guaranteed and you must contact the hotel directly to confirm.

Smoking is not permitted inside the McCormick Place Convention Center. The only smoking areas are located outside the buildings. If you wish to smoke, please follow the signs directing you to the designated areas.
