Call for Papers – CARS 2009
June 23 - 27, 2009
Hotel Estrel, Berlin, Germany

CALL FOR PAPERS
for the 2009 Annual Meetings of ISCAS, EuroPACS, CAR, CMI, CAD and CURAC
http://www.cars-int.org/

Deadline for paper and abstract submissions for CARS 2009 in Berlin is January 10, 2009.

Goal
CARS is the premier annual international meeting for professionals with interest in new developments of computer assisted medical systems and their applications in radiology and surgery. The congress and exhibition concentrate on advances in medical imaging, PACS and networking systems in health care, computer assisted diagnosis and therapy, surgical robotics and instrumentation, image and model guided therapy as well as related imaging based technologies.

In addition to these traditional topics of CARS, in conjunction with CURAC - German Society for Computer- and Robot Assisted Surgery, emphasis will also be given to model guided therapy, patient-specific modelling, intelligent surgery, workflow management and navigated control.
In association with EPMA - The European Association for Predictive, Preventive & Personalised Medicine, CARS also embraces all ICT aspects of a personalized medicine, in particular patient profiling and modelling, biomarker selection and management, data mining, standards, user interface design as well as the electronic medical record and its integration into radiological and surgical settings.

Tutorials, workshops and special events related to the above topics complement the regular sessions of CARS and are organized under the auspices of the International Foundation of CARS.

Abstracts of all peer-reviewed lecture and poster presentations will be included in the CARS 2009 Proceedings, which will be provided to all congress participants at the meeting. Full paper contributions will be included in regular issues of the International Journal of CARS.
